This oval of blue lapis comes from Pakistan and weighs 14.75 ct, which is 16.21 ratti. At Rs. 2,250 it costs about Rs. 153 per carat, well below most of our lapis. A home-grown stone at a friendly price.
The oval shape sits neatly in a men's ring and lines up easily with the finger. Ask for a rounded bezel so the edges stay protected, since lapis is only 5 to 6 in hardness. Its treatment status is untested, so a lab visit is open to you.
