Who we are
Real Gems (realgems.pk) is a small online shop selling natural loose gemstones within Pakistan. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect, why we collect it and what we do with it. For any privacy question, message us from the Contact page or email hello@realgems.pk.
What we collect
When you place an order, we ask for:
- Your name, so the courier knows who the parcel is for.
- Your phone number, so we or the courier can confirm the order and find your address.
- Your delivery address, so the parcel reaches you.
- Your email address, so we can send order confirmation and tracking details.
If you message us, we keep what you write and the email address you reply from. If you return a stone, we ask for bank account details by email so we can send your refund. We do not collect card details, because we do not take card payments.
How we use it
We use your details to process and deliver your order, to answer your messages, to handle returns and refunds, and to keep the records any business must keep. We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them.
Who we share it with
We share your name, phone number and address with the courier company that delivers your parcel, because they cannot deliver without them. We use a hosting provider to run the website and an email provider to send and receive mail, and they store data on our behalf.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone. We do not share it with advertisers.
Analytics and cookies
We use simple first-party analytics to see which pages are visited and how the site performs, so we can improve it. These figures are counted on our own site, not by advertising networks, and we do not use them to build profiles of individual visitors.
The site uses very few cookies. Those it does use are needed for things like keeping items in your cart. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for accounting, returns and any legal requirements, and then delete them. Messages that are not linked to an order are deleted when they are no longer useful.
Keeping it safe
We limit who can see customer details and use reputable providers with secure connections. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable care, and we will tell you if we learn of a problem that affects your information.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the details we hold about you, to correct them, or to delete them where we no longer need to keep them. Email hello@realgems.pk and we will reply within one working day.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page. The version shown here is the one that applies.
