Frequently Asked Questions

Short answers to what buyers most often want to know before ordering a stone from us.

How do I place an order?

Open the stone you like, check its weight, price and photo, and add it to your cart. At checkout, enter your name, phone number, delivery address and email. We confirm the order and dispatch it within one working day. You do not need an account, and you pay nothing until the parcel reaches you.

Why do you only take Cash on Delivery?

Many people here are wary of paying online for something as personal as a gemstone, and we understand why. With Cash on Delivery you see the parcel before you hand over any money. It also keeps things simple for us: no card details, no payment gateways, no screenshots of bank transfers. You pay the courier rider in cash when the parcel arrives.

How much is delivery, and how long does it take?

Delivery is Rs. 400 per order and free on orders of Rs. 15,000 or more. We dispatch within one working day by tracked courier, and most orders arrive in 2 to 5 working days anywhere in Pakistan. Larger cities are often quicker; remote areas can take longer. Full details are on our delivery page.

What is a ratti, and which one do you use?

Ratti is the traditional weight unit for gemstones in South Asia, and many buyers still think in ratti rather than carats. We use the standard gem ratti, where 1 ratti equals 0.91 carat, and every listing shows both figures. Some sellers use the smaller sunari ratti, so their numbers look bigger for the same stone. Our ratti converter explains the difference.

Can I return a stone?

Yes. You have 7 days from delivery to start a return, as long as the stone is unset and comes back as we sent it. Message us with your order number, send the stone by tracked courier, and we refund by bank transfer within 5 working days of receiving it. See our returns page for who pays the return courier.

Are your stones treated?

Some may be. Heating, oiling and other treatments are common in the gem trade, and many cannot be detected without a well-equipped lab. Where a stone has not been lab-tested for treatment, its page says so. We never describe a stone as unheated or untreated without a report to back it. You can read about our checks on how we check.

Can I get a stone tested after I buy it?

Please do, if you wish. Take it to any gem lab you trust within the 7-day return window, and keep it unset until you have the result. If the lab finds it is not the natural gem we described, we refund in full, including delivery.

What size stone should I choose for a ring?

It depends on the ring and the hand. Many men's rings hold a stone of roughly 4 to 8 ratti, while women's rings often take something smaller. Each listing gives the weight and, where we have them, the dimensions in millimetres. Show those to your jeweller, who can tell you whether the stone will sit well in the setting you have in mind.

Do you set stones in rings or pendants?

No. We sell loose stones only and do not set them. Most buyers take their stone to a local jeweller they already know, which also lets you choose the metal and design yourself. Remember that a set stone cannot be returned, so get any lab test done before setting.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Every stone comes in simple boxed packaging, which is neat enough to hand over as a gift. We do not offer special gift wrap, and we cannot add handwritten notes. If the parcel is going straight to someone else, just enter their name and address at checkout, and remember that they will pay the rider on delivery.

Do you sell wholesale or in bulk?

We are a small retail shop, and most of our stones are single pieces. If you are a jeweller or need several stones of one type, message us from the Contact page with what you are looking for, and we will tell you plainly what we can do.

Do you ship outside Pakistan?

Not at the moment. We deliver within Pakistan only, because Cash on Delivery is the only way we take payment. If you live abroad, you are welcome to order for delivery to an address in Pakistan, where the person receiving it pays the rider.
