A tidy 2.10 ct oval from Sri Lanka, deep blue and easy to live with. In ratti that is 2.31, a common weight people are asked to look for when an elder recommends Neelam. At Rs. 15,000 in total, it comes to about Rs. 7,143 per carat.
Ceylon stones are known for a lively, bright blue, and this one keeps its colour in a compact size that suits a slim ring. No treatment testing has been done on it yet. With hardness 9, it shrugs off the knocks of everyday wear far better than most coloured stones.
