Ethiopia has become one of the busiest sources of opal in the world, and this 3.30 ct oval comes from there. It weighs 3.63 ratti and is priced at Rs. 15,000, or roughly Rs. 4,545 per carat.
Many Ethiopian opals take up water when soaked, so wipe this one with a soft damp cloth rather than leaving it in water. Remove the ring before washing your hands or doing the dishes. The price also clears our Rs. 15,000 mark, so delivery is free. Treatment has not been tested.
