Thirteen and a quarter carats of colourless beryl: this aquamarine is 13.25 ct, or 14.56 ratti, at Rs. 14,630. That is roughly Rs. 1,104 per carat, a middle figure for a stone of this size.
Many people buy colourless stones as a quieter alternative to diamond in a cocktail ring. Aquamarine is softer than diamond but still hard at 7.5 to 8, so it wears well with care.
