Cut as a drop, this pinkish red Kashmir ruby weighs 8.55 ct (9.40 ratti) and is priced at Rs. 12,000, roughly Rs. 1,404 per carat.
The drop shape is made for hanging. Set it point down as a pendant or as a pair of earrings with a smaller partner stone, and it will move nicely with the wearer. It can go in a ring too, set lengthwise along the finger. We have not had it tested for treatment, so a lab visit is open to you. Pay in cash when it arrives; the courier fee is Rs. 400.
