Yellow-green, like fresh lime leaves in the sun, this Afghan peridot oval weighs 8.50 ct (9.34 ratti) and costs Rs. 30,750. That is about Rs. 3,618 per carat.
Over nine ratti is a large peridot. It would make a bold pendant or a cocktail ring for evenings out. Because peridot is softer than corundum, a protective bezel is worth considering if it goes in a ring. It has not been tested for treatment, and you are welcome to test it at a lab.
