Golden amber has the glow of late afternoon sun through a window. This piece weighs 1.80 ct, or 1.98 ratti, and is priced at Rs. 2,700, about Rs. 1,500 per carat.
Amber has a long history in our region, often seen in Kahruba prayer beads. As a gem it is soft, so wipe it with a damp cloth and keep it away from heat and chemicals. A small pendant or a pair of studs suits it well. This golden amber has not been tested for treatment. Delivery costs Rs. 400 and you pay in cash.
