Kashmir is the origin of this pinkish red oval ruby, weighing 5.95 ct (6.54 ratti) and priced at Rs. 14,250. That is about Rs. 2,395 per carat.
Six and a half ratti gives a strong presence in a ring without being heavy, and an oval looks tidy on longer fingers. Clean it now and then with lukewarm water and a drop of dishwashing liquid.
