Nigeria is a newer name in sapphire, and this deep blue oval is one of its stones. It weighs 2.70 ct (2.97 ratti) and costs Rs. 13,500, a round Rs. 5,000 per carat.
Close to three ratti, it suits a men's ring as well as a ladies' one. African sapphires often come in rich, dark blues, and this one fits that pattern. We sell it as untested for treatment. Rinse it in lukewarm water after wearing perfume or cream so the surface stays bright.
