Small and neat at 2.70 ct, or 2.97 ratti, this colourless aquamarine from Afghanistan is a good size for a dainty ring or a pair of studs with a matching stone. The price is Rs. 6,750, about Rs. 2,500 a carat.
With hardness of 7.5 to 8, aquamarine copes well with daily wear on a finger. Clean it with warm water and a drop of washing-up liquid, and avoid sudden temperature changes. The stone has not been lab-tested for treatment, and testing it later is entirely up to you. Delivery is Rs. 400 and payment is cash on delivery.
