A city on the stone route
For centuries, traders have carried goods between Afghanistan, Iran and the Indian subcontinent through the Bolan Pass, and Quetta grew up on that route. Stones travelled with them. Afghan lapis and turquoise, Balochistan's onyx and marble, and all kinds of rough material still pass through the city's bazaars, where carpets, dry fruit and gemstones are sold side by side.
We have no shop in Quetta. We are an online shop that sends each stone by courier, listed with its weight, price and photo.
What Quetta buyers tend to choose
Given the city's links to Afghanistan, it is natural that Lajward is one of the stones most asked about here, with its deep blue and gold flecks. Feroza, long traded along the same routes from Iran and Afghanistan, is another. Many buyers like Yashab for its calm green, and garnet for a rich red at a sensible price. For a simple men's ring, black Aqeeq is a steady favourite.
Lapis and Feroza are softer than sapphire, at around 5 to 6 on the hardness scale, so a protective bezel setting is a sensible choice for daily wear.
Delivery to Quetta
We dispatch within one working day by tracked courier. Most orders across Pakistan arrive in 2 to 5 working days. Quetta is further from the main courier hubs than some cities, so deliveries can fall towards the longer end of that range. We cannot offer next-day delivery.

Testing a stone
If you would like a stone checked, take it to a gem lab of your choice within 7 days of delivery, while it is still unset. If a lab finds it is not the natural gem we described, we refund in full, including delivery. See how we check for our own process.
